From their album Play Loud set to release on October 8, The Record Company’s first single “How High” is available for you as The Weekly Download on WNRN.org.
Produced by Dave Sardy (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis, LCD Soundsystem), the track is brimming with electricity, and features an appropriately bright and bold music video directed by Nathan Karma Cox.
As a band greatly influenced by The Rolling Stones and The Stooges, the new track is a great preview to the kind of modern classic rock blend you might expect from Play Loud.
Bassist Alex Stiff explained they’re broadening their reach on their third album: “On the first two albums, people might have thought we were three guys who sit around a campfire, praying to Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker, and we’re not. We’re three different guys with different musical tastes. It’s time for all of us to show our individuality, and this record shows us evolving.”
