For the entire month of June, James Madison’s Montpelier will have a virtual celebration of Juneteenth to honor our ancestors and celebrate African American history, food, faith, music, family, and freedom. Activities include book talks, a documentary film screening, and a concert. On Juneteenth, Montpelier will be offering Enslaved Community Tours throughout the day, and the Mere Distinction of Colour exhibition, South Yard, and Gilmore Cabin will be open for all visitors. You can learn more here.
Montpelier is a proud financial supporter of WNRN.
