Decade of Difference features Buckwheat Zydeco.  Stanley Dural, Jr. used the name ‘Buckwheat’ as early as 1971 when we found the funk band Buckwheat and the Hitchhikers. He fell under zydeco’s spell and started working with Clifton Chenier. After mastering the accordion, he renamed himself  ‘Buckwheat Zydeco’ and put out his first zydeco album, One For the Road, in 1979. From that zydeco debut, its “I Bought a Raccoon” from Buckwheat Zydeco on a Decade of Difference on WNRN.

Buckwheat Zydeco’s band was the first to sign to a major label and released On A Night Like This on Island Records in 1986. The band also appeared in the movie, The Big Easy. Here is the title track, a Bob Dylan cover, “On a Night Like This”on a Decade of Difference.
