American Aquarium and American Babies @ Clementine
Nov 6 @ 9:00 pm – 11:45 pm

American AquariumHailing from Raleigh, NC, American Aquarium’s southern musical perspective is a blend of honest songwriting, an unwavering work ethic, and a genuine love of rock & roll. Whether you call it alt-country, Americana, or roots rock, one thing is for certain: Their music is a fresh voice that borrows from many forms of the American songbook.

25-year old songwriter and band leader, BJ Barham, brings songs to the five other band mates who breathe life into a performance that is equal parts Springsteen-esque rock bravado, old-school country lyrical heartbreak, and indie-rock introspection.

Jeff Coffin and The Mu’tet @ Clementine
Nov 7 @ 9:00 pm – 11:45 pm

Jeff Coffin and The Mu'tetTHE MU’TET is led by JEFF COFFIN, saxophonist from Dave Matthews Band. Also a composer, educator, and 3x Grammy winner, you likely know Jeff from his 14 year tenure with the genre-defying Bela Fleck & the Flecktones (1997-2010).
The Mu’tet takes its name from the word ‘mutation’, clearly reflecting Coffin’s philosophy that music must continue to change and mutate in order to grow.

Will Overman Band @ Clementine
Nov 13 @ 9:30 pm – 11:45 pm

Will Overman BandWill Overman Band is an Americana-Folk band based out of Charlottesville, Va. Having been described as a mix of The Avett Brothers, Jackson Browne, and Trampled by Turtles, WOB brings heartfelt, real music straight out of the heart of Virginia that they hope can resonate with anyone, anywhere in the world. Inspired by the little things in life and the sadness that makes those joys so much better, front man Will Overman brings out his lyrics with a voice that is raw and, well, loud.
Will is accompanied by three other fine musicians. On lead guitar and banjo is multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Daniel McCarthy. Daniel can play a jaw dropping lick on his guitar, then the next song he’ll make you stomp and shout with a pick and pluck of his banjo. He even dabbles with the accordion. You’ve got to come hear this guy play.
Chris Helms hails from Amherst, Virginia and gives the Will Overman Band its lifeblood. Having toured and recorded all over the country, Chris provides just the right about of veteran to the Will Overman Band, while the others are mostly just a bunch of misfits.

WMRA celebrates Blues Valley with a Fundraiser featuring Stacy Mitchhart Band @ Clementine
Nov 14 @ 9:00 pm – 11:45 pm

Stacy-Mitchhart-BandThere are people who play the Blues who are technically fine, but lack the intangible quality of heart and soul that elevates them beyond being merely a player. It’s a feeling you get when listening to someone, the feeling that each note they play or sing is costing them something emotionally, which is what makes the difference. It’s like the difference between the person who asks you how you’re doing as part of a meaningless salutation and the person who really wants to know how you are feeling if Stacy Mitchhart were to ask you how were doing, you know that he’d mean every word of it. His music is the real thing with each note he plays on anyone of his guitars, and each note that he sings sounding like its coming straight from his heart. He incorporates all sorts of styles into his music, Country, Soul, Rhythm and Blues, and early Rock and Roll, to build his own unique sound. But, at its core, it’s the Blues.
