Tim Davis, 27, died on Friday from injuries received as a victim of the shooting on the Blue Ridge Parkway on Monday evening.

“All of us at the station understood over the past few days that Tim’s condition continued to be critical,” said WNRN board Chairman Maynard Sipe, “but news of his passing is still a shock. Everyone associated with the station is grieving.”

Yesterday, WNRN staff members were informed that Timothy Davis, Operations Director for WNRN, was the victim of a shooting Monday evening while on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tim was admitted to the University of Virginia Medical Center with serious injuries. Our staff’s thoughts are with Tim and his family and friends, as well as with the young woman who was also injured and her family.

At this time, WNRN staff trusts that the press and public will be respectful of Tim, the young woman, and their family members while they cope with this tragic incident.
