Update on WNRN in Richmond

As we head into the long Labor Day weekend, I want to give you an update on the progress of resuming broadcasting on the WNRN translator in Richmond/Midlothian.  We continue to seek permanent solutions to having the signal as strong and clear as is allowed, and to that end we have purchased a strong receive antenna to give ourselves the best chance of receiving a clean and consistent signal from our main broadcast tower on Carter Mountain in Albemarle county. Our next step is to install the new antenna with a tower crew scheduled for the second week of September.  While we believe that this will work, we won’t know for certain until it has been installed and tested, so we continue to seek out other options to solve this issue permanently.  We’ll keep you posted each step of the way.

We have heard from many of you, our members, and are inspired by your passion about what you hear on WNRN and the fact that you’re not able to hear it in your cars and on your home receivers.

Thank you for your patience and understanding of the situation – please continue to check back here for updates.

I hope you have a safe and restful Labor Day weekend,

Mark Keefe
