SARASARA, Sexual Assault Resource Agency, is proud to announce our participation in The Monument Quilt, a nationwide, crowd-sourced art activism project that invites survivors of sexual violence to create quilt squares that represent their stories of trauma and healing. When stitched together, the thousands of squares collected from across the country will cover over a mile of the National Mall in Washington, DC. The Monument Quilt seeks to send a clear message that survivors of sexual violence should be publicly supported, and never shamed.  SARA will hold a quilt making event on Saturday, September 20 from 1-5PM at our office in downtown Charlottesville.  For more information on how to participate,  you can email us or visit our website.
