Thomas_Jefferson's_Monticello_EstateThomas Jefferson’s Monticello has several events to celebrate Presidents’ Day with you.  First, former Monticello Curator, Elizabeth Chew will be launching her children’s book “Thomas Jefferson: A Day at Monticello” at 10am in the Visitor Center.  Then, renowned artist, illustrator, and author, Maira Kalman will be on-site for an art activity, book signing, and exhibit to celebrate the launch of her new children’s book “Thomas Jefferson: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Everything” at 2pm.  These two book launches are free and open to the public.  We will also be hosting ”Taste: Chocolate at Monticello” from noon to 4pm that day (tickets required).  Visitors can learn how chocolate was prepared and served at Monticello, and savor several pairings of chocolate and Virginia wines.  For more information visit our website.
