HELPLine is a twenty-four-seven free, anonymous and confidential telephone service serving the Charlottesville and University communities.  Volunteers provide callers with a nonjudgmental, empathetic ear for any issue that the caller wishes to discuss.  Volunteers remain anonymous and are trained to listen to callers with issues ranging from relationship issues to sexual assault to suicide.  Since volunteers are not professionals, they focus on referring long-term services in the community for callers.  If you need someone to talk with, 434-295-TALK (8825) or visit us online at our website.
