On Wednesday its ’80’s night at the nation’s first community-owned drive-in movie theater, Hull’s drive-in near Lexington. Gates open at 7:00pm for a pre-show ’80’s hits rock out, trivia and costume contest,  then experience the sophomoric humor of Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in Ghostbusters.

After that, you may want to up your game with some wine and a bit of Shakespeare because “all the world’s a stage” on Friday night as the nonprofit Hamner Theater presents a production of the Bard’s beloved pastoral comedy, “As You Like It” at  Cardinal Point Winery as part of this year’s Shakespeare Winery Tour. Bring blankets, picnics and chairs and imbibe in Cardinal Point beverages while enjoying the play.

If you are in Richmond and prefer a different kind of natural nocturnal experience, learn about the habits of nocturnal animals at nonprofit Maymont Park during the Who’s Awake? A Family Night Hike. This family friendly event features experiments, games and a hike around the grounds.

Have a great week and have fun making a WNRN culture connection.
