Always wanted to try opera? Now is your chance to get hooked

Nonprofit Ashlawn Opera presents the heart-wrenching love story of Rodolfo and Mimi in Puccini’s La Boheme, playing at the Paramount Theatre in Charlottesville. Keep your hankies handy for the quintessential Shakespearean tearjerker, Romeo and Juliet at the Blackfriars Theatre in Staunton. Presented by world renowned nonprofit American Shakespeare Center (their motto is: We do it with the lights on)  this play is more than just a hot teenage love mess. It is the entry drug for a lifelong addiction to some of the best plays ever written in the English language.
