103.1FM Richmond
As you may have noticed, 103.1 FM has been off the air for a few days. During the recent storms, a piece of critical broadcasting equipment failed. What we hoped to be a routine fix has become more complicated.
WNRN is committed to providing great radio to Richmond and we are working on fixing the problem as quickly and effectively as possible. With a crucial fund drive less than two weeks away, this news is devastating.
WNRN does broadcast online 24 hours a day. We recently opened up a 128kbps stream to our higher level members. Until 103.1FM is up and running again, I am offering free access to that higher quality stream to all WNRN members.
The stream is password protected, so please email info@wnrn.org and I will send you your personalized log-in information.
We are truly sorry for this inconvenience. We will be broadcasting to Richmond as soon as possible.

Thanks for posting the message about the technical and losing signal transmission in Richmond. I have been driving around lost for the last couple of days.
I figured it was storm related and SO sorry to hear it is more of an issue than anticipated! Hope it’s restored soon. Miss you.
Any way to increase the signal in Richmond It’s kind of weak vs. the other local stations richness of sound, overall volume etc
There is a way that would require a lot of capital. We hope to address it one day.

I’m with Val. A stronger signal would be fantastic. In my car, I can’t even pick up a clear signal in most parts of town. Maybe it’s not as big a deal for other listener’s radios.
